It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and remote computers. Customers view MPEG coded picture and have complete management of the software using net that surveillance pc can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure drastically improves reliability because all parts operate as autonomous applications. If one unit fails, other modules continue running. For example if the `capture` part stops working, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video through a `playback` unit. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be initiated by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant server through Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
