Action1 Run App with Command Line 2.5
emotely starts an application or runs remote command on multiple Windows endpoints. This free tool is a cloud-based alternative to psexec commands and similar remoteexec tools to run exe, cmd and bat files on remote computers. Working similar to running psexec on a list of computers (psexec @file psexec switches) or using wmic to run remote commands, it is a manageable alternative to execute commands on remote Windows machines, without the need to install psexec or learning how to use psexec and all those numerous psexec switches and psexec usage examples.
You can use this action instead of running exes on remote computers using PowerShell, basically as a remote command prompt for Windows to run programs on another computer on your network. The ability to run command prompt on remote computer and remotely access another computer using cmd.exe comes very handy as a generic way to perform all kinds of maintenance actions, such as running programs installed on another computer, starting backup operations, running bat files remotely and more.
The additional benefit is delegation to non-administrators of the ability to run programs remotely on Windows systems from a list of remote commands pre-approved by system administrators (think of it as an inventory of psexec remote cmds available for helpdesk operators, for example).
