he software has been designed as common application for surveillance cross platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal form and controls on the local and distant computers. Users watch MPEG-4 coded video and have full control of the program via net that surveillance pc can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular composition considerably increases reliability because all components work as autonomous programs. If one unit fails, other components go on running. For example if the `capture` unit fails, `watchdog` starts again it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture using a `playback` part. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by motion, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote pc using Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
