It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and distant workstations. Users view MPEG coded video and have complete management of the program using network that surveillance station can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure drastically improves reliability because all modules proceed as autonomous applications. If one unit freezes, other modules keep on working. For instance if the `capture` part fails, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` part. The program does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on distant station using Web interface. The program does synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
