he software has been designed as common software for security hybrid platforms running all together with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and apart pcs. Users watch MPEG coded picture and have complete management of the software via network that security workstation can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition significantly increases reliability because all parts proceed as autonomous programs. If one component fails, other components go on working. For example if the `capture` unit stops working, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` module. The program does `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by motion, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on apart computer using Web interface. The software does synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
