Dynu IP Update Client 5.3
hat is IP update client?
The IP Update Client runs in the background and checks for IP changes every minute to keep your hostnames mapped to the most current IP address at all times.
It has an easy to use interface and bypass ISP proxy to perform secure IP updates every minute. The updater supports IPv4 and IPv6 updates and can be run as Windows service. Users can run multiple instances of the IP update client to update a set of hostnames using 'Location' feature. Activities are logged based on the log level the user defines and visual indicators of the update status is displayed.
How does Dynamic DNS service work?
Dynamic DNS technology allows you to give your home network PC or server a permanent address on the Internet. Internet service providers change your IP address on a regular basis, but with dynamic DNS you can keep your domain name pointed to the current IP address of your home server or other devices.
Your PC is connected to the internet and runs Dynu Client. Dynu Client keeps track of your computers IP address and reports it to Dynu DNS servers. When someone requests 'yourname.dynu.com', Dynu DNS servers redirect them to your computer just like InterNIC DNS servers redirect requests to 'yourname.com'. Now any user on the internet can connect to your PC instantly by requesting 'yourname.dynu.com'.
Is your dynamic DNS service free?
Dynu is one of the major free dynamic DNS service providers since 1997. Your Dynu accounts never expire! Even if you are a free user, your dynamic DNS service will remain fully functional until you delete it.
