EXIF Purge 1
hen you take a photo with your digital camera, the camera will store the current date and time into the image file along with a lot of technical information including camera make, model and the camera settings. A GPS enabled camera can also save location co-ordinates (latitude and longitude) with the photographs. This metadata is called EXIF data.
It is a good idea to remove this data before you share the photo online because it gives a lot of information about the photo to the viewer.
EXIF Purge is a freeware that helps you remove EXIF data from multiple photos with a single click. EXIF Purge is a portable application which means you don't have to install it and you can carry it with you on a USB pen drive. You just add the images in EXIF Purge, select a folder where the images should be saved after the EXIF data has been cleaned and click a button and the images will be saved in the selected folder stripped of all the EXIF metadata.
EXIF Purge does not affect your original photos because it always saved the cleaned photos in a new folder which you can share easily on the web.
