ome Surveillance is a small, free software for monitoring local and network cameras. Ofcourse you can also record video and take snapshots.
The main idea behind the product is simplicity. All you need to setup your PC based video surveillance system (also known as CCTV) is to run the program and connect to a camera.
Home Surveillance allows to record video and take snapshots from webcams and IP cameras.
Connecting to a camera is ultimatelly simple.
To connect to a local USB camera (also known as webcam) you just need to select it's name from the drop-down list.
To connect to the network camera (also known as IP cam) hit the "Settings" button and type in the camera's IP address or domain name and the port. And that's all. You don't even need to supply a model and brand information, since Home Surveillance is able to automatically determine this.
The recorded videos and snapshots can be reached by pressing the "Recordings" button, which opens an appropriate folder in Explorer's window.
