It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and remote workstations. Users watch MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the program via network that surveillance computer can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration significantly improves reliability because all units act as independent applications. If one part stops working, other modules go on working. For example if the `capture` part stops working, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The program does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on distant computer through Web interface. The software makes synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
